Marriner Reserve Railway

The Palmerston North Model Engineering Club operates the Marriner Reserve Railway. Working model trains give rides to the public on the first and third Sundays of each month between the hours of 1-4pm in the summer, and 1-3pm in the winter, weather permitting.

Here we take children of all ages (from the baby stroller to the retirement home) for train rides in a park setting. Fun for the whole family on a railway built and operated by volunteer members who have generously devoted thousands of hours of their free time to making it all happen.

Here the club also caters for Birthday Parties, Club Days, and Family Events. For details and bookings please contact the Secretary.

The Marriner Reserve Railway is located in a park on the corner of Duff Crescent and Marriner Street Palmerston North

The club holds a meeting at the Hearing Association Rooms on the last Thursday of the month. Here the members enjoy addresses and videos, from selected guest speaker on a wide variety of subjects relevant to what we do. These meetings are a great source of fellowship and also provide a platform for members to display the work they are doing.

If you wish to attend a meeting just announce your self at the door. Members will take care of you.
